Access and Support to All:
Discover the Benefits of Being a TUU Student
01
Build Your Own Degree
TUU recognizes that "one size fits all" degrees lack applicability to student interests. Building your own degree allows students to customize their skill set to fit their dream career and sets them apart in the job market.
05
Earn an Associate's Degree
Unlike traditional four-year universities, TUU grants an associate's degree to all students who complete their first two years and liberal arts basics. Students then have the choice to join the job market or continue on to earn their bachelor's degree.
02
Satellite Learning Centers
Satellite Learning Centers provide free of cost technology, access to advising and tutoring, and study spaces for all students of TUU. Satellites are located in cities all around Texas and are spread throughout the city.
06
Bachelors Degree
After students complete their two-year liberal arts basics, they have the option to continue their education and earn a bachelor's degree. The bachelor's degree focuses on individual student interests and allows for students to build their own study program.
03
High School Bridging
All Texas residents who graduate from Texas High Schools, receive their GEDs or complete an accredited AHS Program are automatically enrolled into TUU. Academic & Guidance Counselors will work with students to support them in preparation for “Crossing the Bridge” to Higher Education and Live/Work communities.
07
Online Learning Provides Wider Education Access
TUU's fully online learning platform provides access to all types of learners, regardless of their ability to travel to a campus or not.
04
Textbooks All In One Place
Students no longer have to buy multiple textbooks. All students will use Texlet, our textbook tablet. Instructors upload all required readings and students automatically receive them to their Texlets.
08
Quarter System Reduces Student Overload
Our two classes per quarter system ensures students are able to immerse themselves in each course and reduce the academic overload the traditional semester layout creates.
